Diabetes Malaysia Activities

Diabetes Malaysia (DM) organizes seminars and camps for people (adults and children) with diabetes. It assists poor and needy children and eligible adults with free meters, strips, lancets and needles to monitor their diabetes apart from organizing talks and diabetes screening in rural and urban areas.  It also assists in organizing talks and health screening in companies and organizations and secondary schools and tertiary institutes upon request.  It publishes information on diabetes related matters in the DM’s newsletter and website and distributes pamphlets on diabetes and assists in diabetes support group activities.

DM also organizes conferences and workshops for its members and health care professionals.  Participants are expected to impart the knowledge gained to patients, their family members and others with the ultimate objective of improving the standard of patient care in Malaysia.
